German Imperial Eagle

Finally I get to put a new post! This is one of very most favorite to date! It is sort of a two parter. This was done as a gift for a dear friend of mine at work, as a Christmas Gift. I gave it to him today and so I am now going to share it with the rest of you. I have known Roger for many years now. When I first met him he was a teacher at my high school. Now he is a colleague, and I look forward to eating my lunch with him on a daily to semi-daily basis.

Part One:

Anyone who know Roger, know that he is very proud of his German heritage. During many our our lunch conversations, it is not uncommon to hear a little of the German language spew from his lips. We had come up with the topic of tattoos, and she had mentioned that he has always wanted to get the German Imperial Eagle tattooed on him.

Thus the birth of this creation!

Part Two:

The eagle alone was pretty cool in all, but I decided that it was not enough for the WOW factor that I really wanted to get when I gave it to him. So I decided that I would add the colors of the German flag in the background.

As with all of my doodles, my initials and the #34 are hidden in this, and quite well I might add. (Have you found them yet Roger?) I with I had a camera to share with the expression that Roger had when he saw it! Lets just say it truly is better to give than to receive.

I hope that you all enjoy the final product as much as Roger does!

This was done on white paper 8.5x11, with 4 different colors.
