Waterfall

This is the last doodle that I have completed. It is really the first doodle that I have done that resembles an actual picture. The I enjoyed watching this piece transform right before my eyes as I worked to complete it.
Hope everyone has a great and safe evening. Happy New Years to all!
It was done on 8.5x11 paper with a sharpie.

Peace, Love, Joy

This started out only being a one part piece, but as I got almost finished with the first, I decided that I would make it a three part piece. I am very pleased with how it turned out. You will notice that the Lettering is very clear, yet there are no solid lines that define any of the letters.

You may also notice that this doodle project is a little different that my past doodles. I am not sure what lead me to change my style for these three doodles, but I really like the finished product, as I hope you do as well!

These are all done on a new type of paper that I have not used as of yet. It was 25% cotton, fine linen paper. 8.5x11 with black sharpie

Enjoy.

Merry Christmas

So I have had these done for a while, but wanted to wait until they had been given as gifts before sharing them with all of you. There are three new doodles here. I did a doodle for my brothers and dad this year as one of the gifts. It is always fun to give things that you have put much thought and love into. As I said in my last post, it is much better to give than to receive.

In these three doodles, I tried to incorporate hobbies, geographical things, and just some good old doodlage (I think I just made that word up, or maybe not) from my noodle. You will also find some other things in these three doodles. You will find initials of the recipient, as well as their birthday (month/day).

For Bryan:

For Michael:

For Dad:

All three of these where done with 8.5 x11 white copy paper and sharpie. Though I am excited to say that I have received some new/different forms of paper, and sharpies! So keep your eyes peeled for some new things.
Until next time, I hope you are having a Merry Christmas. Here in my neck of the woods, it is snowing like crazy, so stay safe.

German Imperial Eagle

Finally I get to put a new post! This is one of very most favorite to date! It is sort of a two parter. This was done as a gift for a dear friend of mine at work, as a Christmas Gift. I gave it to him today and so I am now going to share it with the rest of you. I have known Roger for many years now. When I first met him he was a teacher at my high school. Now he is a colleague, and I look forward to eating my lunch with him on a daily to semi-daily basis.

Part One:

Anyone who know Roger, know that he is very proud of his German heritage. During many our our lunch conversations, it is not uncommon to hear a little of the German language spew from his lips. We had come up with the topic of tattoos, and she had mentioned that he has always wanted to get the German Imperial Eagle tattooed on him.

Thus the birth of this creation!

Part Two:

The eagle alone was pretty cool in all, but I decided that it was not enough for the WOW factor that I really wanted to get when I gave it to him. So I decided that I would add the colors of the German flag in the background.

As with all of my doodles, my initials and the #34 are hidden in this, and quite well I might add. (Have you found them yet Roger?) I with I had a camera to share with the expression that Roger had when he saw it! Lets just say it truly is better to give than to receive.

I hope that you all enjoy the final product as much as Roger does!

This was done on white paper 8.5x11, with 4 different colors.

Rainbow

This is one of the first doodles that I have done that includes colors in the line style. Hope you like it as much as I do. I must say that I do like the plain black and white a little better, but the color definitly adds a lot.

8.5x11 on copy paper with sharpies.

Enjoy!

Santa

This is a doodle that I started and finished a couple of weeks ago. It was inspired by the fact that we were bringing our daughter to see Santa for a photoshoot. It was a lot of fun to do. Hope you like it. Everytime my little girl sees it. She says with a lot of energy... SANTA!!

Stellan

This is a doodle that I did for a little boy named Stellan. The day that I doodled was the day that little Stellan's prayers were answered. You see, Stellan had a heart condition called SVT. This SVT caused his little heart to beat at dangerously high rates. He had a procedure called an ablation to fix his heart, but the first time it did not work. On November 9th, 2009, Stellan went into his second operation. As many many many people prayed for little Stellan around the world, I decided to doodle (and pray.) This is what I came up with.

A prayer answered with a miracle. Our God is an awesome God.

If your interested in reading more about Stellan's amazing story, you can at Mckmama.com.

5x7 on Copy Paper. Done with Bic Ball Point, Sharpie, and even a highlighter.

Eye

This is one that I did a while ago. 4x6 on copy paper with a Bic ball point pen. Ball point is how I used to always do them, because you can get more detail with the a smaller point. I have found though that scanning them does not do work as well with the Bic pens. The piece comes out "shinny." So I have changed things over sharpie permanent markers. Hope you enjoy.

I have a newer piece to that I just finished that I did with some color. Excited to get it uploaded for you all to see it!

Face

Here is the Doodle that got me back into the doodling that I have been doing lately. The Original Dimensions are 4x6. I was drawn on regular white printer paper with a Sharpie permanent marker. I started with the eyes and went from there.

Two things that you will find in all my doodles are the number 34 in some way shape or form. It might be roman numeral, or with numbers, or both. You will also find my initials AP. They are always hidden in the picture. The AP in the bottom corner does not count. Happy Searching

I have many other pictures to share, and many more to be made. Hope you enjoy!
